Treat Yo Self at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

Singapore

Marina Bay Sands, Luxury at its Finest.

Three 55 story towers containing over 2,500 hotel rooms support the 1,150 feet Sands SkyPark. In front of the towers sits the world’s largest atrium casino, 2 theaters, a convention center, 2 floating glass pavilions, and the ArtScience Museum.

Infinity Pool

At Marina Bay Sands guests can swim on top of the world in the highest, largest, rooftop infinity pool in the world. The 57th floor Marina Bay Sands Infinity Pool area can only be accessed by hotel guests with an active room key. We scoured the internet for information on day passes only to find site after site stating pool access is strictly for Marina Bay Sands guests only. Determined to swim in the world’s highest infinity pool, Mitch reserved a room for 2 at Marina Bay Sands.

A Single file line passes through a monitored gate as each visitor scans their room key to enter the pool deck. Be sure to ask for 1 key per registered guest upon check in and plan your swim wisely. Pool access is revoked upon check out. Drinks are prohibited in the pool, but can be enjoyed on the sun deck lounge chairs. The massive rooftop pool measuring almost 150 feet is divided into 3 sections and surprisingly none are heated.

  • The Singapore Flyer, the wold’s second highest Ferris wheel measuring 541 feet tall, offers 4 course dining options or a 30 minute ride above the city in 28 glass capsules.

CÉ LA VI

There are over 80 restaurants to choose from at Marina Bay Sands, but only 2 are located on the 57th floor Sands SkyPark; CÉ LA VI and Spago. Dining at the modern, Asian CÉ LA VI Restaurant, we have an uninterrupted view of the sun setting. As the city lights sparkle to life below, the nightly Gardens by the Bay Rhapsody show begins.

  • The free Gardens by the Bay – Garden Rhapsody music and light show occurs every evening at 7:45pm and 8:45pm.

World Class Shopping

Marina Bay Sands offers more than 300 lavish stores and outlets from around the world throughout almost 1 million square feet of retail space. If that isn’t enough, shoppers can take a relaxing gondola ride through a canal running the length of the shopping block.

Traveling Gingerbread Note: As we opened the door to our standard guest room, the curtains automatically parted revealing our view of Singapore. While the room does offer a balcony, it’s not quite big enough to enjoy morning coffee or stand on with the doors shut, but we were both able to wiggle outside and thankfully back inside.

We recommend enjoying a Hot Legs by the pool.

Is it worth it to splurge for a night in the world’s most expensive stand alone casino property? We think yes. Cheers!
